Meet Sally
My Background
Maybe it was the eye operations as an infant, or my daughter contracting meningitis as a baby, that I’ve had a fascination with how our brains and bodies work.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to help others, I volunteered at the Stroke Association and Samaritans which gave me invaluable experience, meeting people often in crisis, whose lives had been dramatically changed from physical and emotional trauma.
A love of sport, led me to try hands-on therapy; sports massage and physiotherapy, but it was my first experience of Craniosacral Therapy to address a shoulder injury that not only got to the root of the pain with lasting change, but it was the first time I felt fully seen, from inside out.
“Trauma is not what happens to you, but what happens inside you, as a result of what happens to you” Gabor Mate
From that point on, my personal healing journey began, and since qualifying over a decade ago, I have enjoyed working with people of all ages, in the private and public sector, helping them release chronically held tension, find an inner calm, and live a more joyful life.
Having felt the benefits first hand, some of my clients have gone on to train in Craniosacral Therapy. Mentoring students and newly qualifying therapists has felt a natural progression.
My Approach and Philosophy
My priority is to create a safe space for you to explore what troubles you, be it physical, emotional or spiritual, and to support you wherever you might be in your journey through life.
Whilst recognising the benefits, and at times necessity of conventional medicine, I strongly believe in the power of nature and our body’s natural healing ability.
We are born with a life force (chi or prana), and our bodies are always naturally seeking health. Disease occurs when something becomes out of balance.
Working together, we can identify your health and well-being goals, set an intention for our work together, empowering you to live your best life.
By taking care of, and listening to your body in the deepest sense, you can become more attuned to make choices aligned with your heart, feeling more empowered to live a happier and healthier life that’s meant for you.
“Who looks outside, dreams, who looks inside awakens. The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are” Carl Jung
Whether you’ve tried everything else or are at the start of your healing journey, Craniosacral Therapy meets you where you are, on any given day.
